Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between your business and Key Microsystems Limited, a company registered in New Zealand. We run Wiring Atlas, the app at app.wiringatlas.com. By creating an account or a company, you agree to these terms for yourself and your business.

The key points you’re agreeing to

• Wiring Atlas is a record-keeping and planning tool for electrical businesses. It doesn’t design installations, check code compliance, or replace inspections and permits.
• Your records belong to you, and you can download them at any time.
• Paid plans renew until you cancel. Paddle, our reseller, handles checkout and billing.
• New Zealand law applies.

Who can use Wiring Atlas

You must be at least 18 and use Wiring Atlas for a business. The person who creates a company is its owner and is responsible for everyone they invite.

Keep your sign-in details private. Tell us right away if you think someone else used your account.

Plans and billing

We offer a Free plan and paid plans, as shown on our pricing page. Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance and renew until you cancel. We’ll email you at least 30 days before a price change affects your plan.

Paddle.com is our online reseller and the merchant of record for all orders. Paddle handles checkout, payments, sales tax, and receipts. Its Buyer Terms also apply to your purchase.

Founding customers keep their Pro discount for as long as their subscription stays active. If the subscription ends, the discount ends with it.

Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel at any time. Our refund policy explains what happens next and when refunds apply.

Your data

You own the records you put into Wiring Atlas, including details about your customers and their buildings. You let us store and process them only to run the service for you. We don’t sell your data, and our privacy policy explains how we handle it.

You’re responsible for having the right to enter your customers’ details. If a customer asks about their information, you handle the request, and we’ll help where we can.

If your paid plan ends, your account moves to the Free plan. Your records stay readable and ready to download. We don’t delete them because a payment stopped.

What Wiring Atlas doesn’t do

Plans in Wiring Atlas are position diagrams, not scaled drawings or engineering designs. Reports and job sheets record what you and your customer agreed. They aren’t electrical inspections or code certificates.

You’re responsible for your electrical work and for following local codes and permit rules. Check every record before you rely on it.

Fair use

Don’t use Wiring Atlas to break the law, harm others, or store content you have no right to use. Don’t try to break into, overload, copy, or resell the service.

We may suspend an account that does these things. We’ll tell you why unless the law or safety stops us.

Keeping the service running

We work to keep Wiring Atlas available and your records safe, but we can’t promise it will never go down. We may change or improve features over time. If we remove something important from your plan, we’ll tell you ahead of time.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for lost profits, lost business, or other indirect losses. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Wiring Atlas is supplied for business use. To the extent the law allows, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 doesn’t apply.

Closing your account

You can close your account at any time by emailing us. We delete your company’s records within 30 days of closing, and backup copies expire within a further 30 days. Download anything you want to keep first.

Changes to these terms

If we make an important change, we’ll tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect. Using Wiring Atlas after that means you accept the new terms.

The law that applies

New Zealand law governs these terms, and New Zealand courts decide any dispute.
